Job Summary
Providing expert legal guidance, the full-time Senior Coverage Attorney (Ohio Licensed) will manage complex insurance coverage matters, collaborate with claims leadership and external counsel, and support regulatory compliance in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver timely legal and technical advice on commercial and personal lines coverage issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws
- Analyze policy language and guide coverage investigations, preparing legal opinions and communications
- Partner with claims leadership to develop litigation strategies and manage significant coverage disputes
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance coverage analysis or litigation
- Extensive knowledge of commercial and personal lines insurance coverage and claim handling practices
- Experience preparing coverage opinions and managing outside counsel in coverage litigation
