Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Job Summary
Providing technical expertise for PKI Administration and Certificate Authority operations, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will support cyber protection engineering at a large Federal agency, focusing on encryption technologies and automation in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Support customers with certificate-related issues and provide guidance on PKI lifecycle management
- Review complex PKI issues, recommend improvements, and support certificate automation initiatives
- Mentor the PKI team and develop project requirements for critical applications while staying current on encryption technologies
Required qualifications:
- BA/BS in cybersecurity, IT, or related field with 9+ years of experience in cybersecurity and IT administration/engineering, or 12+ years of relevant experience
- Extensive automation and scripting experience, particularly with PowerShell and Python
- Strong knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authority (CA) administration
- Experience with certificate management tools, preferably Venafi/CyberArk, and troubleshooting digital certificate issues
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
