Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

The full-time remote Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will engineer and assess security capabilities across various platforms, translate security requirements into technical controls, and support authorization activities by developing system security documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer and assess security capabilities across identity, devices, networks, applications, data, and cloud platforms
• Translate NIST, FISMA, RMF, FedRAMP, and agency security requirements into implementable technical controls
• Analyze vulnerabilities, control gaps, and security findings; develop technical recommendations and track resolution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant technical experience
• Seven or more years of cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or security assessment experience
• Experience with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, and authorization-to-operate activities
• Experience applying Zero Trust principles and assessing security controls in cloud, hybrid, or on-premises environments
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and brief stakeholders on security risks and recommendations
