Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and detail-oriented, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will manage the configuration, tuning, and operational health of security platforms, drive vulnerability remediation, and act as a technical lead during live incidents while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and tune core security platforms across multiple client environments, ensuring configuration baselines and policy alignment
• Build detection logic, reduce false positives, and create operational playbooks for repeatable responses to security alerts
• Triage alerts and serve as a technical lead during live incidents, collaborating with clients and internal teams

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with endpoint detection and response, SIEM, and vulnerability management platforms
• Experience securing and administering Microsoft identity and endpoint services, including Entra ID and Microsoft Defender
• Cloud security experience with major providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Proficiency in automation using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
• Strong analytical skills and experience in writing formal root cause analyses within a structured change management process
