Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on advanced cybersecurity engineering, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will implement and manage technical controls to prevent security threats while collaborating with other engineering groups in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities:

• Engineers and manages cybersecurity controls to detect and eliminate security threats, while identifying improvements to the cybersecurity program
• Identifies security risks and vulnerabilities in networks and systems, developing solutions to remediate threats
• Acts as a liaison with engineering groups to address security issues during system design and implementation

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of Information Technology experience
• Preferred certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Experience with security standards and frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST
• Demonstrated experience in security research or community leadership
