Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Owning significant parts of a large-scale security operations platform, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will manage detection engineering, vulnerability discovery, cloud and endpoint security, and automation of security operations in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and tune detections across security telemetry and custom ML models, while driving incident response and post-incident improvements
• Harden and monitor AWS and Kubernetes environments, ensuring security is integrated as enablement with engineering teams
• Oversee endpoint security across macOS, Windows, and Linux, and operate data loss prevention measures to minimize false positives

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering or SecOps roles with hands-on experience in detections and incidents
• Real detection engineering experience on a modern SIEM/security platform, with a focus on custom ML-based detection
• Deep mastery of Linux, macOS, and Windows, including hardening and investigation
• Strong networking expertise, including TCP/IP, routing, and packet-level analysis
• Hands-on experience securing AWS cloud environments and Kubernetes workloads
