Senior Data Analyst
Job Summary
To support the Integrated Healthcare Transformation initiative at the Department of Veterans Affairs, the fully remote Senior Data Analyst will obtain and analyze data using advanced algorithms, develop visualizations, and present findings to inform strategic decision-making and optimize business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Extrapolate data patterns using advanced algorithms to identify actionable insights
- Develop graphs, charts, and visualizations to communicate complex mathematical findings
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple VA sources
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare or federal environment
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS)
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
- Familiarity with VHA systems and data repositories, including CDW and VistA
