Senior Data Analytics Developer
Job Summary
Seeking an intellectually curious Senior Data Analytics Developer, the full-time remote position will lead the development of scalable data pipelines and analysis systems using large secondary data sources to influence U.S. health care policy decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development of scalable data pipelines and analysis systems involving large secondary data sources such as Medicare and Medicaid administrative claims data
- Providing creative and best practice solutions for data processing optimization on cloud computing platforms
- Ensuring data quality through all stages of data processing with rigorous quality control and mentoring junior developers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, public health, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of programming experience in a professional and/or academic environment
- Expertise in Python, SQL, SAS, R, Stata, or similar data engineering or statistical languages
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure
- Subject-matter knowledge in healthcare data, especially Medicare data, is preferred
