Senior Data Architect
Job Summary
To enhance public mass transportation efforts, the full-time Senior Data Architect will design, implement, and optimize an enterprise data warehouse, focusing on replacing legacy systems and integrating cloud data solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and governance.
Key responsibilities
- Own the overall data architecture, including the design and maintenance of scalable data models and database solutions
- Create and maintain logical and physical database models, designing hierarchies and metrics for the Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Oversee the integration of data sets from critical FTA systems, ensuring robust ETL/ELT pipeline development
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Database Design
- Proven experience architecting data solutions within a cloud environment, specifically AWS
- Expertise in dimensional modeling techniques and relational database platforms, particularly SQL Server and MariaDB
- Demonstrated experience designing complex ETL/ELT processes using tools such as SSIS, Python, or Databricks
