Senior Data Architect

Job Summary

To support a growing data and analytics team, the fully remote Senior Data Architect will assess and shape the platform architecture on Snowflake, design financial data models, and integrate data from over 40 sources to ensure reliable reporting and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and define the target architecture for the Snowflake environment, focusing on data layering and governance
• Design financial data models to ensure accurate representation of general ledger activity and account hierarchies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data designs and integration patterns

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or database engineering with ownership of production data platforms
• Deep experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses, including performance tuning and cost management
• Strong data modeling skills, including dimensional modeling and handling late-arriving data
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and integrations across multiple sources using frameworks like dbt and orchestration tools like Airflow
• Finance literacy with experience modeling general ledger data and account hierarchies for reporting purposes
