Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end data pipelines, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer will manage ingestion, orchestration, and reliability practices while collaborating closely with the Head of Data Engineering to drive the platform's growth and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own ingestion processes through Fivetran and custom extraction, and manage orchestration across dbt and GitHub Actions
• Implement alerting and observability for data freshness and pipeline failures, ensuring quick incident response and resolution
• Extend the medallion architecture and contribute to foundational modeling layers for analytics engineers

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on production systems
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in ingestion and orchestration tools like Fivetran and dbt
• Solid understanding of Snowflake, including access control and cost management
• Experience with Terraform-managed environments and building reliability practices
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practices
