Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a major digital banking initiative, the remote contract Senior Data Engineer will design, optimize, and maintain enterprise data architectures and pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and streamline ETL processes.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data solutions, pipelines, and architectures for complex financial data workflows
- Develop, test, and optimize Java application code and Oracle database systems for high performance and reliability
- Perform ETL operations to migrate and manage data across systems while identifying and enhancing data accuracy
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java application development
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle database engineering and development
- 5+ years of background in Data Engineering, including core ETL and pipeline creation
- Proven experience working within the Banking / Financial Services domain
