Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Data Engineer will design and evolve data architecture for a Media & Entertainment organization, focusing on data ingestion, normalization, and transformation across multiple sources while leveraging AWS technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement data architecture for real-time and batch data movement primarily within AWS
- Build and maintain normalization and transformation pipelines for reconciling data from various sources
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data retention strategies that support historical analysis and forecasting
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary working environment
- Proficiency with streaming and change-data-capture tools such as Kafka, Flink, and Debezium
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, and Postgres databases
- Familiarity with lakehouse architecture and tools like Iceberg and AWS Glue
- Proficiency in Java or Python for data application development
