Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Data Engineer will design and evolve data architecture for core Data Layer and Release Hub projects, focusing on data ingestion, normalization, and transformation across multiple sources.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement data architecture for real-time and batch data movement primarily within AWS
- Build and maintain normalization and transformation pipelines that integrate data from various sources
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data retention strategies that support historical analysis and forecasting
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary working environment
- Experience with streaming and change-data-capture tools such as Kafka, Flink, and Debezium
- Proficiency in SQL Server, MySQL, and Postgres databases
- Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Proficiency in Java or Python for data application development
