Job Summary
Architecting and managing a cloud-native data infrastructure, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design scalable data pipelines and lakehouse architectures, ensuring HIPAA compliance while collaborating with data scientists and maintaining robust ETL/ELT processes.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and build secure data pipelines using Databricks and AWS services for batch and real-time processing
- Design enterprise lakehouse architecture, including data modeling and Delta table optimization
- Develop data infrastructure for machine learning use cases and build APIs for downstream consumer integrations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
- 7-10 years of professional data engineering experience, including 3+ years with cloud-based data lake architectures
- Deep expertise in Apache Spark and hands-on experience with Databricks
- Proficient with AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, and Lambda
- Experience in healthcare or regulated data environments with familiarity in HIPAA technical safeguards
