Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support teams across the Eastern and Central time zones, the fully remote Senior Data Engineer will design, modernize, and optimize enterprise data platforms while serving as a hands-on technical leader and mentor.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance cloud-based data pipelines, integrations, and ETL processes for reporting and operational initiatives
- Lead technical decision-making related to data architecture and platform modernization for long-term scalability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into sustainable data solutions while mentoring junior engineers
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience with strong expertise in SQL and Python
- Experience developing solutions within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory or comparable platforms
- Proven leadership experience in architecture design and technical ownership in small or midsized environments
- Strong understanding of ETL development, data modeling, and API integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, dbt, or C# is highly preferred
