Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the analytics and reporting team, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will develop data pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and troubleshoot complex data issues while collaborating with various teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Examine, extract, cleanse, and load data while building data pipelines using SQL and other technologies
- Triage and resolve complex incoming bugs and incidents, ensuring the performance and quality of data pipelines
- Participate in sprint refinement and planning, providing estimates and insights for implementation details
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering
- SW certification or degree in an IT-related field
- Expertise in writing complex SQL, including pivots and window functions
- Fluency in Python programming and proficiency in analytical tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Experience with REST API and JSON for data parsing and conversion into relational models
