Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To develop scalable data solutions for innovative software and advertising products in the real estate industry, the remote contract Senior Data Engineer will design and maintain data pipelines, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and automate processes to enhance operational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines processing billions of rows from multiple sources
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and adaptable data models
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, reliability, scalability, and uptime
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining data-intensive applications
- Proven experience developing production-quality data pipelines that scale to billions of rows
- Advanced experience with Spark, Airflow, and SQL
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
