Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the architectural integrity of the Snowflake data platform, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and implement enterprise-grade data pipelines, manage ingestion and transformation frameworks, and ensure compliance with data governance and security standards while working onsite, hybrid, or remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Leads the design and implementation of data pipelines on Snowflake and Azure for governed data products
- Establishes and maintains transformation frameworks using dbt, ensuring version control and observability of all pipelines
- Drives schema governance and data modeling, managing breaking changes across downstream capabilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline; or equivalent experience
- 4-7 years of professional data engineering experience with technical leadership on enterprise-grade data platforms
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex query authoring and performance tuning
- Hands-on proficiency with modern data transformation tooling, preferably dbt, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Azure Data Factory
- Production experience with Snowflake, including warehouse design and performance optimization
