Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Data Engineer will design and evolve data architecture, build normalization and transformation pipelines, and implement data ingestion processes primarily within AWS, contributing to key projects in a leading Media & Entertainment organization.
Key responsibilities
- Design and evolve data architecture supporting real-time and batch data movement
- Build normalization and transformation pipelines that reconcile data from multiple sources
- Implement and manage streaming and batch data ingestion using technologies such as Kafka and Flink
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary environment
- Experience with streaming and change-data-capture tools (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Debezium)
- Proficiency in SQL Server, MySQL, and Postgres databases
- Experience with lakehouse architecture and tools like AWS Glue
- Proficiency in Java or Python for data application development
