Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Data Engineer will design and evolve data architecture for a core Data Layer platform and Release Hub, manage data ingestion from multiple sources, and implement normalization and transformation pipelines primarily within AWS.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement data architecture supporting real-time and batch data movement
- Build and maintain normalization and transformation pipelines for data reconciliation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data retention strategies for historical analysis and forecasting
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary environment
- Experience with streaming and change-data-capture tools such as Kafka, Flink, and Debezium
- Proficiency in SQL Server, MySQL, and Postgres databases
- Experience with lakehouse architecture and tools like Iceberg and AWS Glue
- Proficiency in Java or Python for data application development
