Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a remote Senior Data Engineer, the full-time position will architect, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines while optimizing cloud-based data platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, automated ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, dbt, and orchestration tools
- Administer and optimize cloud-based data warehouse and lake platforms, integrating new data sources and tuning for performance
- Automate manual reporting and operational tasks while mentoring teammates on best practices in data engineering
Required qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, and Python for data modeling and pipeline development
- Advanced SQL skills for complex querying and large-scale data model design
- Proven experience with modern orchestration tools such as Prefect and Airflow
- Hands-on administration of cloud-based data platforms including AWS and Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of secure external data flows through APIs and SFTP
