Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Data Engineer to set the technical direction for data systems that power analytics and operational decision-making, working remotely or in San Francisco.
Key responsibilities
- Own the architecture of the Data Platform, leading design decisions and delivering reliable production systems
- Build and operate trusted data pipelines, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery through robust testing and observability practices
- Establish engineering standards and improve operational practices across the Data Platform, mentoring team members along the way
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
- Deep expertise in modern cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Strong Python and SQL skills with hands-on experience in building reliable ingestion and ELT pipelines
- Experience operating orchestration platforms like Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code using Terraform or equivalent tools
