Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing pharmacy benefit management practice, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will maintain complex data systems, deliver process improvements, and build new solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver data solutions based on requirements and schedules while participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies
- Test, debug, and enhance existing code, processes, and reports, while maintaining SQL/ETL procedures and VisualCron schedules
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies, and assist in troubleshooting pharmacy claim-related issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or 4+ years of relevant experience
- 10+ years of SQL database development experience with the Microsoft SQL Server toolset
- 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouse methodologies
- Expertise in query tuning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS
