Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a client's data integration and warehousing needs, the independent contractor Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using IICS and Amazon Redshift, working remotely in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data into the warehouse using IICS
- Develop and optimize data models within Amazon Redshift and write production-quality SQL and Python for data workflows
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and team members to translate technical work into business context while ensuring data quality and validation
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with IICS for data integration
- Experience with Amazon Redshift as a data warehouse platform
- Strong SQL skills and solid grounding in ETL/ELT pipeline design
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering workflows
- Experience building Power BI data models with a strong grasp of data modeling best practices
