Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Data Engineer, preferably located in Pittsburgh or remote, who will design and architect data systems, develop data pipelines, and ensure data quality and governance to support innovative healthcare solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, construction, and optimization of scalable and secure data architecture
- Own the design and evolution of foundational healthcare data models and schemas
- Build and maintain complex data pipelines that ensure data integrity and usability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a Data Engineering role, preferably in a healthcare technology environment
- Deep hands-on experience with healthcare data standards such as TUVA, OMOP, or FHIR
- Expert proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language for data processing (Python or Scala)
- Experience with data warehousing technologies like Snowflake or AWS Redshift and big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark
