Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support data-driven initiatives, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will develop and maintain cloud or on-premise infrastructure for big data management, focusing on reliability, automation, and performance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure systems, including data warehouses and data lakes, while preparing and manipulating data using various technologies
- Analyze data using statistical techniques to provide actionable insights and support decision-making for key projects
- Create data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data, ensuring best practices for data auditing and scalability are implemented
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- 5 years of experience in database design, developing modeling tools, and updating ETL/ELT scripts
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Python, as well as modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake and Azure Data Factory
- Expert knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and implementation concepts across various data environments
- Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps/DataOps practices
