Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Hands-on and platform-minded, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will own systems end-to-end, construct data pipelines and products, and engineer reliable distributed workloads while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own systems from architecture to ongoing support, addressing customer and operational needs
- Construct and maintain data pipelines for fleet health, capacity, utilization, and operational telemetry
- Engineer reliable distributed workloads and improve quality through automated tests and monitoring
Required qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in building and operating production software and data platforms
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in distributed data processing frameworks
- Experience operating services in a cloud environment, including CI/CD and incident response
- Demonstrated ability to debug complex systems and make architectural tradeoffs
