Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer, the full-time remote position will design and operate data ingestion pipelines, evolve core platform components, and partner with stakeholders to create self-serve data products for various teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate ingestion pipelines and connectors to reliably land data from disparate source systems into the warehouse
- Own and evolve core platform components, including dbt models and data quality/observability, to power BI tools and internal analytics applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to translate business needs into governed, self-serve data products
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform, or SQL-heavy analytics engineering roles
- Proven track record of building data ingestion pipelines, connectors, and transformation workflows in production
- Expert-level SQL proficiency, with working fluency in Python or a similar language for platform tooling and automation
- Hands-on experience with Looker, Hex, dbt, or equivalent BI/analytics tools
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and drive consensus on data platform decisions across teams
