Job Summary
Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and foundational data products for Komodo Health's Healthcare Map, focusing on transforming complex healthcare datasets into reliable data assets while working remotely or in a hybrid model from San Francisco or New York.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and optimize large-scale production data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud infrastructure
- Transform healthcare claims and clinical datasets into trusted, performant data products
- Debug complex data and system performance issues while ensuring data quality and reliability
Required Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare data across claims, clinical, or life sciences datasets, including coding systems like ICD-10 or CPT
- Strong hands-on experience with building and debugging production-grade data pipelines
- Advanced skills in Python and SQL, with familiarity in Airflow or similar tools
- Experience with Spark or comparable distributed data processing frameworks
- Proven ability to design and operate data solutions in AWS
