Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

The full-time Senior Data Engineer will lead architecture decisions and manage the design of the data warehouse and semantic layers while working remotely, ensuring data quality and automation for a fast-growing SaaS company in the plastic surgery industry.

Key responsibilities

• Own the target architecture for the data warehouse and define standards for naming, lineage, and data quality
• Pair with data engineers to build the gold layer and baseline report library, while extending infrastructure as code across pipelines
• Automate migration processes and enhance AI integration for data enrichment and anomaly detection

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering with end-to-end ownership of warehouse or lakehouse architecture
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with production experience on modern cloud warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery
• Hands-on experience building a semantic or metrics layer using dbt or similar tools
• Production experience with orchestration and infrastructure as code on AWS, such as Airflow and Terraform
• Experience with regulated data environments, such as healthcare or financial data
