Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Joining a cross-functional development team, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and deploy advanced data analytics solutions, including dashboards and reports, while optimizing data models and performance in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement data models, solutions, and advanced analytics to deliver key business insights
- Optimize reports and dashboards for performance, including query speed and efficient data model design
- Contribute to data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines, ensuring quality and maintainability
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong expertise in Apache Spark and proficiency in Python with advanced data engineering skills
- Experience with Delta Lake and solid understanding of columnar storage (e.g., Parquet)
- Proven ability to handle small to large data volumes with performance tuning experience
- Familiarity with Databricks DevOps practices is a plus
