Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake and Power BI to design and build scalable data platforms and analytics products remotely, focusing on data quality and performance for life sciences and healthcare clients.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build scalable ELT pipelines ingesting data into Snowflake from various sources
- Create enterprise Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports aligned with business KPIs
- Implement data quality checks and optimize compute costs while mentoring other engineers and analysts
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with hands-on expertise in Snowflake and Power BI
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including Kimball dimensional modeling and star schemas
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and performance tuning
- Experience building ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Azure Data Factory, or Airflow
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
