Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and building data infrastructure for a clinical trial design platform, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer will manage ingestion pipelines, implement data models, and develop APIs to support AI-driven workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain ingestion pipelines for clinical trial documents, ensuring effective PDF parsing and data normalization
- Design and implement data models in Amazon Aurora and GraphDB to represent clinical trial entities and their relationships
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows that transform unstructured clinical content into queryable, linked data
Required qualifications
- Strong Python development experience, particularly with PDF/document parsing libraries
- Advanced PostgreSQL-compatible SQL skills, including experience with schema design and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with graph databases like Neptune or Neo4j, and proficiency in SPARQL or Cypher
- Experience with AWS services for data pipeline orchestration, including Aurora PostgreSQL and S3
- Familiarity with clinical trial structures and data standards such as MeSH or CDISC is a strong plus
