Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
As a hands-on builder, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will manage the migration of reporting and analytics to a Snowflake-based Enterprise Data Warehouse, overseeing data ingestion, orchestration, and transformation while ensuring security and governance protocols are implemented.
Key responsibilities
- Build and operate data ingestion from various sources into Snowflake using tools like Fivetran and Azure Data Factory
- Develop and maintain orchestration assets in Dagster, migrating legacy jobs onto the new platform
- Implement role-based access and data classification controls to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations
Required qualifications
- 7+ years in data engineering with 3+ years of experience building production pipelines on cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake
- Expertise in SQL and strong proficiency in Python for pipeline development
- Hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling and testing in production environments
- Familiarity with modern orchestration tools like Dagster and managed ingestion solutions
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform and CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions
