Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and delivery of end-to-end data platforms, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will work remotely to build production-grade pipelines and mentor other engineers while engaging with client stakeholders across the Microsoft Azure Data & AI stack.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of data platforms using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Databricks, focusing on ingestion, cleaning, preparation, and analytics
• Design and build APIs and data services for client analytics and reporting, ensuring secure data exchange with front-line systems
• Mentor Data Engineers and act as a trusted technical resource for client stakeholders, contributing to reusable frameworks and engineering standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline
• 5-8 years of experience in data engineering with strong ownership of production data pipelines on Azure
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark for building distributed data pipelines
• Deep hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure Data & AI stack and familiarity with Medallion architecture patterns
• Experience designing APIs and integrations for data exchange with front-line systems and Data Agents
