Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a fully remote Senior Data Engineer, the permanent position will focus on designing, modernizing, and optimizing enterprise data platforms while serving as a hands-on technical leader across the Eastern and Central time zones.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance cloud-based data pipelines, integrations, and ETL processes for reporting and operational initiatives
- Lead technical decision-making related to data architecture and platform modernization strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices around data quality, governance, and development standards
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience with strong expertise in SQL and Python
- Experience developing solutions within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory or similar platforms
- Proven leadership experience in architecture design and technical ownership
- Strong understanding of ETL development, data modeling, and API integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or dbt is highly preferred
