Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To modernize the company's data infrastructure, the fully remote Senior Data/Platform Engineer will rebuild a legacy data pipeline, design integrations for various data sources, and develop event-driven services using technologies such as Python and Node.js.
Key responsibilities
- Rebuild and modernize a legacy data pipeline for scalable data ingestion, processing, and storage
- Design and develop integrations for APIs and external data sources, including BigQuery
- Establish observability and operational standards for production data systems while leading data migration efforts
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in building large-scale data platforms or data engineering environments
- Proven experience in re-architecting or modernizing data pipelines and platforms
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, Go, or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
- Advanced SQL and data warehousing expertise with platforms like Redshift or Snowflake
