Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing network of accounting and advisory firms, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will build and maintain dbt models, reconcile financial data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain tested, documented dbt models across various data layers with a focus on reusable business models
• Refine canonical models for financial and operational data, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting
• Investigate discrepancies in data and implement controls to enhance data quality and reliability

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role
• Advanced SQL and strong production data-modeling skills
• Deep production experience with dbt, including testing and deployment workflows
• Strong Python skills with experience in building ingestion or automation against APIs and databases
• Practical understanding of incremental loading, change capture, and schema evolution
