Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will build and operate data ingestion and transformation pipelines on the AWS Lakehouse platform, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ELT/ETL solutions for batch and streaming data ingestion on the Lakehouse
- Develop reusable data processing frameworks and scalable orchestration workflows using Python and PySpark
- Apply DataOps practices, including automated testing and CI/CD for data pipelines, while ensuring compliance with data lifecycle management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in enterprise-scale data engineering solutions
- Strong experience in developing data pipelines using Python and PySpark, along with AWS services like Glue and EMR
- Proficient in SQL with relational databases and familiar with NoSQL databases
- Experience using Git-based source control and Agile software development methodologies
