Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a key technical contributor, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will manage the reliability and evolution of event and data infrastructure, including the centralized event bus and streaming pipelines, while working remotely in the USA.

Key responsibilities:

• Own complex engineering tickets from design through implementation and production, ensuring high-quality code
• Lead technical discussions and author Technical Design Documents (TDDs) while contributing to Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
• Build and maintain event validation and enrichment processes, as well as manage data pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience with ownership of production systems
• Deep experience with event-driven architecture and managed event platforms such as EventBridge or Kafka
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and building applications using LLM APIs
• Strong understanding of data handling in regulated environments, including PII and tokenization
