Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Building and operating the internal data platform, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will manage data ingestion, schema changes, and data quality checks while collaborating with analytics partners in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop batch and streaming pipelines connecting various data sources to the internal data platform
- Enhance Snowflake operations, focusing on performance tuning, access controls, and cost management
- Implement data-quality checks and improve orchestration workflows for safe testing and deployment of data pipelines
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in building and operating production data pipelines
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, including software design and debugging
- Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehousing solutions
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt
- Understanding of data modeling, schema evolution, and data-quality testing methodologies
