Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support data infrastructure initiatives, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design, build, implement, and maintain data processing pipelines for ETL from various sources while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and maintain data processing pipelines for ETL operations from diverse data sources
- Lead the development of complex SQL queries to meet analytics needs and enhance data flow
- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 6-8 years of experience in data engineering, particularly with financial systems on SaaS platforms
- Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and distributed processing frameworks like Apache Spark and Databricks
- Proven experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS or Azure
- Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance within a financial services context
