Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the enhancement of data security and reliability, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and migrate data models, build reliable data access pipelines, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute data migrations while implementing data quality processes and monitoring query performance
- Build and maintain data pipelines to provide trustworthy data access for feature teams and stakeholders
- Review code for data-related changes and assist teams with data requests and security reviews
Required qualifications
- Production experience in data engineering and architecture, including designing relational data models and building reliable data pipelines
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages for backend services and APIs
- Experience in data security and governance, particularly with sensitive data in regulated environments
- Familiarity with current best practices in schema design, query performance, and data quality
- Experience in a healthcare setting or another heavily regulated domain is a plus
