Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and maintaining data pipelines, the contract Senior Data Engineer will build scalable ingestion frameworks using AWS services, manage an enterprise data lake, and ensure data quality for enterprise reporting while working in a hybrid environment in Manhattan, NYC.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion frameworks using AWS services and SnapLogic
- Architect and manage the enterprise data lake on Amazon S3, including metadata optimization and lifecycle management
- Develop robust data transformation pipelines and implement data quality frameworks to ensure integrity of enterprise data
Required Qualifications
- 14+ years of overall software development experience, with 7+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience with AWS data platforms, including Amazon S3, Amazon Athena, and AWS Glue
- Hands-on experience integrating data from SaaS and enterprise systems using ETL/ELT tools such as SnapLogic
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting and optimizing data models for BI tools such as Amazon QuickSight or Tableau
