Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the end-to-end data platforms, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and orchestrate cloud data pipelines, write production-quality Python, and ensure data correctness while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage data platforms from source ingestion through transformation to analytics, ensuring correctness and auditability
- Develop production-quality software, including Python applications, SQL services, and maintainable code
- Design and implement cloud data pipelines on AWS with robust data-quality checks and failure handling
Required qualifications
- Six (6+) years of experience in data engineering and/or software engineering
- Strong proficiency in production-quality Python and expert SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS data and compute services, including Glue, S3, and Redshift
- Experience with data modeling and implementing data-quality checks
- Ability to work autonomously and make technical decisions with limited supervision
