Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support data-driven initiatives, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and manage data systems and pipelines, oversee junior engineers, and lead projects involving data collection and storage, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to document requirements for data pipelines and process automation
- Design, build, document, test, and maintain data pipelines following industry best practices
- Develop data quality and governance processes to ensure data accuracy through inspection and validation
Required qualifications:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in data engineering
- BA/BS in a relevant discipline
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle, including SQL scripting
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Spark
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ETL tools
