Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance data solutions for Pharmacy Benefit Management clients, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will maintain complex data systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement best practices in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver data solutions while participating in Agile development processes
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies
- Assist in troubleshooting pharmacy claim-related issues and support existing applications tied to pharmacy encounter data submissions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or 4+ years of equivalent experience
- 10+ years of SQL database development with the Microsoft SQL Server toolset
- 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouse methodologies
- Proficiency in cloud-based database solutions, such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS
- Experience with PowerShell and Python, as well as familiarity with .NET and reporting tools like Power BI
