Job Summary
Hands-on and detail-oriented, the remote Senior Data Engineer will improve the quality, scalability, and consistency of data engineering across the product portfolio by managing complex technical initiatives and establishing engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and remediate Snowflake performance issues, establishing approaches for workload isolation and cost optimization
- Define and implement reusable dbt project conventions and standardize model testing and CI/CD practices
- Establish repeatable approaches to data quality and monitoring, leading investigations for data-processing incidents
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of software or data engineering experience
- Mid-level, hands-on Snowflake experience with query profiling and performance tuning
- Extensive production dbt experience with model design and CI/CD
- Advanced SQL and strong Python engineering skills
- Experience operating large-scale cloud data platforms and ensuring data quality engineering
