Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Senior Staff Data Engineer, the remote position will lead technically complex initiatives to enhance data engineering quality, scalability, and consistency across the product portfolio while establishing engineering standards and empowering delivery teams to operate reliable data solutions independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead diagnosis and remediation of Snowflake performance issues, establishing optimization practices and partnering with product teams to mitigate risks
• Define and implement reusable dbt project conventions and standardize model testing, ensuring maintainable transformation design and clear ownership
• Establish repeatable approaches to data quality and operational excellence, improving monitoring and leading root-cause investigations for data-processing incidents

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software or data engineering experience with substantial technical leadership
• Expert-level hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning and cost optimization
• Extensive production experience with dbt, including model design and CI/CD practices
• Advanced SQL and strong Python skills for building reusable tools and data workflows
• Experience operating large-scale cloud data platforms and ensuring pipeline reliability
